No, I do not always run with Bryce. "Running with Bryce" first came from Strava, where I would caption every activity that included her with those three words. I enjoyed that it had a nice, simplistic ring to it and soon it began to feel like a tagline to my day to day life.
Over the last 5 years, Bryce and running have followed a very similar trajectory in my life. Each one required me to start small and approach large and seemingly difficult challenges with patience. They both came with successes and progressions that deserved celebration. These celebrations were often followed by set backs, injuries (in running), or a sudden lack of desire to listen to anything I had to say (Bryce). Along the way, they have taught me how to expand boundaries, appreciate what's in front of me, and to take risks. I hope to use this website to reflect on what these boundaries and risks are, and as a place for gratitude and observation. Most of these reflections will take place through the context of running, and even if it is not with Bryce, she will most likely be part of the story.
